Hunt Event will not end/Hunt failure scenario keeps popping up

Description​

I attended a hunt and the event will not end. The "despite our best efforts"/"you cannot win them all" popup to indicate that the hunt failed has popped up dozens of times, blocking the passage of time and preventing me from doing anything. I've tried starting new activities, closing the game, etc, and no matter what I do it just starts again. It's killed this save (luckily a new one) but I'm afraid to start any new hunts knowing this can trash any new game.

Steps to reproduce​

Hunt went to end, but no matter what I do/how many times I click "you cannot win them all" the same popup reappears

Can confirm that this is an issue. For me, it happened in a 2 person mp game.
