"Hungary under PU to Austria" event?

Where can i read more about the requirements for this event? I have had this event fire once for me as Austria but i do not know which event it is. I'm talking about the event that has a requirement, that i know of, for the year to be not higher than 1460 or something like that. Not the mission Austria can get after 1500 to PU Hungary, Burgundy or Bohemia.

Wasn't like that. Hungary went directly under me in a PU without any kind of war. As in a pop-up came that said they are now under us in a PU.

As I read the code, Hungary gets an event in which they can choose to become the junior partner in a PU with a country ruled by a Habsburg or they can choose to remain independent. If they choose to remain independent then the Habsburg dynasty countries get the Restore the Union CB. If they choose to become the junior partner then a Habsburg country gets a pop up telling them it has happened.

I had that event in an Austrian game, succeded in establishing the PU, but my king died shortly afterwards and the PU was lost. I have the restoration of PU CB (again) but Hungary is ruled by a von Habsbourg (not the right one, i.e. not mine). Is this worthwhile to go to war again to reestablish the PU?

Hungary is poor and Eastern tech. Don't expect them to fight France or something. If you integrate them, you probably won't even get Hungarian as accepted culture if you expanded beyond your starting position.

With Austria, this is not an event, it's actually a mission. I got it mid-game where there was a mission (top area, not bottom area) that said "Protect Our Neighbor Hungary" or something and it gives you a PU CB. I was pretty happy about it.

I can see that most people who always have missions pending might miss out on this.

There are two completely distinct ways of the game giving you an unearned PU (or cheap RoU CB) on Hungary. There's the event people are talking about here, and the mission most people are familiar with.

You're confusing Hungary's events with Austria's missions.

There are two events for Hungary.

While Hungary has its starting Regency, there is a 90% chance that the AI will select to place "(Regent) János" as the ruler of the nation, with ""Ladislaus Postumus von Hapsburg" as the heir. Ladislaus will have very bad stats.
There is a 10% chance it will retain the Regency with "Ladislaus Postumus von Hapsburg" as the heir. Ladislaus will have average stats.

Once Ladislaus is of age, between 1450 and 1457, if there is no heir, there is an event with a MTTH of 1 month.
There is a 75% chance the AI will choose to kill the von Hapsburg, place Matyas Hunyadi on the throne, and give every nation with the Hapsburg dynasty a restoration of union CB.
There is a 25% chance the AI will choose to be placed in a personal union under a random nation which has a Hapsburg ruler.

If the AI selects the latter, that nation gets the PU and a small boost in prestige and legitimacy.
I've had that happen once as Austria.

Austria has three potential missions granting Restoration of Union CB on Burgundy, Bohemia, and Hungary. It must be post-1500 for the latter two, and in each case, Austria must own more provinces.

This event happen to me once, right after words they broke it and i had a negative penalty that said they spurn me. I was in a regency council and could not force them back in >.> Evil Hungarians!
