Just noticed in the FAQ that Hungarian is a west slavic culture. That is incorrect. Hungarians (Magyars) are from the Finno-Ugric background.

EU3 culture is not just about lingustics.

Pretty much. Magyar tourists are almost identical to west-slavic tourists. It would be real weird if they shared group with Finns and Baltics.

Btw. Does Hungary have Croatian(South-Slavic) or (High)German culture?

While Hungarians are language relatives of us Finns, they are nowhere close to us when it comes to culture.

If you look already at typical folk costumes, one can distinguish by costume alone whether a certain area is Hungarian or Slavic (or Rumenian). Habits are different, an important one would have been inheritance laws.
And if one had to place slovaks and hungarians in a culture group, it might have been better to put the slovaks in the hungarian one. It would represent history much better
After All the current has been part of the Hungarian kingdom for some 1000 years.

However should it be decided to keep the culture as West Slavic, then Rumenian culture also hase to be Slavic, eastern slavic or something like that (serbian or bulgarian culture)

Well, other than the fascination with the colours of green and red in clothing I have not seen any distinguishable cultural difference between my region of Croatia and Hungarian Baranya.

I mentioned Slovaks due to their close historic bond they had with Magyar. More or less, it was their cultural influence that Christianized Magyars and thus set the founding stone of Western culture in Hungary. If Vajk had not grown up among Christian Slovaks, I doubt he'd ever become St. Stephen.
