Humanoid portraits

Hi there,
i just realized that the two standard options for human empires are female. Doesn´t bother me, but the race-portraits are female, too und i always get a female ruler as standard option. ooookay with me, game is coming from sweden at last, why not. But is there a way to change the standard-portraits via modding? i kinda feel indoctrinated from the ministry of love and i´m very sensible after playing ME4.

Just open them in the empire editor and you can customize the details of the initial ruler, including the gender/appearance/title/name.

After the first ruler what you get is all a randomly generated crapshoot anyway. It's never bothered me, but each to their own.

One portrait type has to be default. There's no good reason for it not to be female after all.

Essentially one or the other has to be "portrait_set_00", and thus come up if no decision is made...

Sorry, it was an example - not a specific real code thing.

If you're wanting to mod it, just ask around in the modding section - it should be trivial.

It'll be *far* quicker though to make a custom version of it with whatever phenotype you want (and whichever gender you want) as the initial leader. After that it'll revert to random though, so unless you're adding or changing the phenotypes in question so it doesn't use the default images, it's probably not worth the time.
