Huh this patch, help

I'm playing GC with Germany, on normal with fog of war, but this patch is driving me crazy, I can't even get near USSR since they have 500 divisions, 5 times more than I do, so I honor the Molotov Ribbentrop pact. Allies are holding well in Greece allthough I made naval blockade, south of Sahara is still allied. The problem is, from the begining of the game, that German army is too low It took 3 months to take Poland and 8 months to take Paris.
Let's say I'm holding Europe, it's may 1944, but since the begining of the game allies have 5x more troops then axis alltogether. However, I do have 2 nukes but I don't want to use them in Europe.

How do I take Africa and India, low infrastr. is killing my nerves? Paratroops aren't what they used to be
All you mighty generals may give me advice. Is there a guide how to play with Germany?

If you've only got 100 div in 1944 you need to start making more troops! Probably the reason you're army is so small is because you researched nukes...If you're still fighting in N.Africa Nuke their stack and then use transports to land behind. Do you have the British Isles?

I'd be curious what skill level you're playing on? That may account for the disparity?

Yes I took Britain in '41. I researched many things, but inspite of having more researched doctrines, the enemy has(had) higher organisation. It's early 45, and it's obvious that I'm going to win. Axis have aprox. 500 pts and allies 146, commies around 200. My wish was to conquer America. Maybe if I find that mod of unlimited time
So next time I play, should I build troops constantly?

Did you annex historical allies or ally with them? If you ally with then and take control of their military, then you increased your manpower. But, they're only as strong as their tech level, so be sure to share good techs with those countries.

Don't worry I'm not a total newbie, well I am with 1.06 patch. It's totaly different game now, maybe this was my first impression with it. I have another question, do you upgrade your industry or infrastructure in the begining of the game? I usually do that in provinces with 1 ind. level.
I also went straightly to improved tanks 70mm, it gave me a huge advantage in western front, but my problem was lack of troops. My first action of the campaign was canceling those ships construction, now was that a good decision I don't know.
I only know I must be more active on all fronts and on the sea.

On the sea, build only Submarines. Regarding IC and INfrastructure, I upgerade provinces that are 5IC or lower at the begining of the game, and keep on doing it every year untill they are all above 5IC, and I upgrade infrastructure to at least 40, any lower and my troops die there. It wasn't a mistake cancelling the ships.
