Huge performance issues, stuttering etc in late game!

Just posting this to get some visibility so that hopefully the devs see this issue..

Im seeing huge performance losses and lag and stuttering once i get to late game 1944-1945+, fps will drop from a steady 60 down to 5-10 and even lower and stutter. (even if you lower the speed to 1x-2x the game eventually becomes unplayable)

This does not seem GPU related as changing graphic settings wont effect it, there are multiple posts about this on reddit and other forums but didn't find anything specific here. Please comment below if you are having similar issues so that we get some exposure for this.

Unfortunately as things are right now i cant finish any game i start and i just end upp starting a new game once i hit 1945+ on any save.

P.s. This is with specs that are way above the recommended specs, and i have tried on multiple computers and specs and the end result is still the same.

I too have massive performance hits during late game and my specs are above the recommended.

I suspect that the games does not use multi-core processors that well, and I have eight.

Well, I came here to find a solution for this problem and this is the first topic I have seen in the forums Now I know that I am not the only one who is having this trouble :S I thought my video settings was high

Yeah I have also noticed that the game only seems to be really pushing one core while the other cores just sits around 20% or lower utilisation.

Yeah you are not alone =) hopefully more who have experienced the same issues post here so we can get some visibility, because as it is now its not even listed under known issues..

Any one have any workarounds for this if you managed to play into late game? or finished a game?

Just wanted to add that i have seen slight performance improvements when using the june 7th Nvidia drivers.. There is still stuttering and big framedrops but i am able to continue late games at 1x or 2x speed. This dosent seem to be the underlying issue though, but might help a little...

Yeah just saw something is coming in the uppcoming hotfix. Hopefully this fixes the bigest issue, Glad to see that they are at least on top of it =)

Yeah same here after 44' 45'. I actually have to pause the game to move units.
Eh what can you expect from Clausewitz engine.

Set your processor affinity to only 2 processors, I can run at 5x and it hums right along. Has to do with the optimization with more than two cores.
