What would the intended functioning be? I can see this only making sense in a religion where one gender is forbidden from holding any titles.
It would work in Astaru given that females are not allowed to inherit titles

Would this be an easy fix for a mod?
If nothing is locked down, it should be relatively easy
I’m not really on one side or the other on this, because I haven’t had a chance to play it yet, but I’m thinking of hypothetical situation:
I start as the King of Asturias, (in 867). I wed one of Charles the Bald’s daughters for an alliance against the Ummayads. Under patch 1.1, my character’s children with the Princess of West Francia will no longer get unimpressed claims on West Francia, when she dies, regardless of marriage type?
And, unlike in CK II, you can't even turn it off...It's also very problematic on historic grounds, because it means the only way to obtain claims is through matrilineal marriage, which didn't actually exist and are basically a feature implemented to prevent player game over.
Honestly I cannot imagine this is intended.
The dynastic marriage game is one of the core elements of the Crusader Kings franchise, this essentially removes that possibility which fundamentally changes the game.

Yeah there's no way this was intended, it destroys one of the key purposes of the marriage game. Really hope they release a hotfix quick.
Yes this is the culprit - I saw that line yesterday and was worried about it but was hoping it was a mistake/error. Apparently not.
Male-dominated religions in 1.03:
Men get implicit claims. Upon the death of their parents women receive pressed claims too which can be passed to their children.
Male-dominated religions in 1.1:
Women receive no claims from succession ever. Either as the children of titleholders or as the children of claimants.
There is no such thing as male preference religion.
In that case I really hope they make an exception here. I've waited weeks for this patch, I don't wanna have to wait even longer. Sure it's not game breaking like a crash, but it is very frustrating. As far as I know they only release hotfixes for things which cause crashes. Fingers crossed it isn't a month until the next bugfix patch though.
