There have been half a dozen game releases on Steam today, so it's hopefully in the queue to be pushed out. Why they couldn't do all of them at once I don't know, but with a little luck it'll be there by the end of the day.

Yeah seems like they've added one new release each hour for the last several. I'm crossing my fingers that HTTT will be the next one to pop up.

I was going to try GamersGate, but I thought Steam put things in a different directory, and was worried the add-on might not find it, as with some patches? I think all games go into the Steam directory, which is not where it would normally go? Its almost 8pm... no HTTT on Steam..... lol!

I got HttT from Gamersgate today and installed it over EU3 Complete from steam, works without a problem, so for those too impatient to wait, Gamersgate does work. Also, download speed doesn't matter that much, the expansion is only 15mb.

Remember, Steam is on PST, so when it's 8 pm for you, it's 5 there.
Still, great to know GG HTTT works with Steam. It's very tempting.
I'm going to give it another couple hours and then just get it off GG. I'm too impatient.

I didn't want to say it but if you actually pre-ordered it - aren't you morally cleared to get it from alternative sources anyway? Instead waiting and irritating yourselves

I'm thinking about getting EU3 and all the expansions (don't have it yet, have EU2, Vicky and HOI2), but the pricing seems crazy at the moment.
On Steam, EU3: Complete is €25 (and less on other sites it seems), but this little expansion is being priced at €20, on its own! I think I'm going to wait until it comes out in some kind of bundled pack before buying it, is that happening at some point?

You can see HTTT's pricing? How? It's 9:20 pm EST (that would make it 6:20 pm PST) and it's still not on for me.

See, that's the thing. It's not even available for pre-order on Steam, there is no mention of it at all. If it had been available for pre-order a week or two ago like on GG, it wouldn't have been an issue because we'd at least know that it was coming eventually. As it stands now, it's like the game doesn't even exist.
I would really like to know if this is due to slowness on the part of Steam in updating their site, or if it's Paradox. I have to assume it's Steam being slow, in which case why are they this slow for EU3, but other games are released on time.
I can confirm that the gamersgate download works fine with EU3 complete on steam. The only possible problem is that EU3 still only goes through 1821; I thought HTTT was supposed to go through 1836?
The official word is 'we have no current plans for it' but I'm pretty sure it will happen eventually. Of course that means you might need to wait 6 months or so while most of the forum population is having fun playing it.
Then we won't have as many bugs when we finally do play it. So how do you get the GG version to work with Steam? Put it in the folder or something?

Just to give you a small update:
Steam, Impulse and Direct2Drive are all working on getting the game up. We always recommend sending a friendly e-mail letting them know you are waiting for it when there's a delay - more demand, higher priority etc. As you've noticed, there's quite a few games releasing in December. As far as pricing go it should be the same across the board as we have a suggested retail price.

To Steam you shouldn't they are always bad at releases, so it's common for them to get angry mails...
