When I first heard about all the extra things in HttT I got a bit worried about game speed, since I don't have such a fast computer. However, when I've now played it a couple of times it hit me that it actually runs faster then with just NP+IN. Anyone else experiencing this?

Also, I was very happy to see those different provincial decisions using up magistrates, but I was not happy to see that every country could just as easily use them. I thought that a more developed country finally could show it off in more ways then just buildings and tech. But now a massive russia with full serfdom and zero inovation can get those nice province decisions just as easily as a nation in northern Italy. I hope that changes with the next patch.

I agree, the reforms should be much more difficult. Especially the land reforms.

Not I. It runs much slower on mine (although I also updated to IE7, maybe that's the cause).

Yes the good news is that H3T is faster than previous versions because of the port of the HOI3 engine debugging.

The thing to keep in mind though, is that this improvement is due to the fact that the Clausewitz engine was incredibly buggy and inefficient. EU3 used to not be able to run on hardware that DEFINITELY should have ran a game like this incredibly well. So this debugging merely brings the engine to perform more in line with how it should have performed all along. As such, I see it more like fixing the leaks in the roof than building a palace in terms of coding achievement, but Im hella glad it happened nonetheless.

In general the game is quicker, but due to the general increase in long wars between great powers it may slow down for periods. In my last game during the 16th-17th century it ran slower than IN, then the speed increased again by quite a lot during the 18th century, there was also clear difference depending on the ebb and tide of the pan-european wars before that.

I think its at least 1,5 times IN-speed. Coming (back) from Magna Mundi, I must say - the game moves a lightening pace.
I think I can go a year in less than a minute
Compared to how fast EU3 vanilla was.. wow :) The code must really have been optimized.

This will be really good for event heavy mods such as Magna Mundi. :D

If your most recent experience with IN is Magna Mundi, then obviously HTTT will be a lot faster. MM is immensely resource intensive.

I don't find it any different speed wise, myself.

True - compared to MM, almost anything is faster! But still, I dont recall IN being that fast. Maybe its because my computer in general is faster. (Windows 7 fx)

Still.. the game go really fast now. And from what I have heard from the MM team, it will improve the speed of MM when it is ported to HTTT.
