Just curious, as it appears that this CB is broken for me. Even when I use it against a power with overseas possessions I have a claim on, I dont see the ability to demand colonial provinces at a reduced cost at all in the CB popup, and if i ask for such, Im charged the full 4 infamy.

I tried commenting out the "colony_claim = THIS" just to see if it would work but it didnt. It does work if I remove allowed_provinces = { is_overseas = yes }, but then it works everywhere which isnt the intent of this CB at all.

This has the potential to be a really cool CB, bringing true colonial wars to EU3. Anyone got it to work? Otherwise, anyone heard that this might be a known bug? Thanks a ton.

I haven't tried it 'for real' (I've used it as an excuse for a war for another reason...) but I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was only supposed to reduce the cost for adjacent colonial provinces, not 'any' colonial province. Where the ones you were trying to demand adjacent to your own holdings?

Yes, and it didnt work.

And like I said above, I tried removing the line that limits it to your "adjacent holdings", and it still didnt work.

Its like if the "is_overseas=yes" trigger doesnt work right for CBs

I got it working by playing HRE against Portugal in 1499, no problems here...

Thanks for that! I loaded up a 1700 game for the purpose of testing this and I think I figured it out.

Just having QFTNW doesnt cut it, (perhaps because the CB is "mutual"?), your foe must have it as well. With QFTNW, DoWing a power with overseas colonies but not the idea seems to mean you can get any discount on their colonies. However if you both have the idea, the CB seems to work as advertised...

It may be a bug, maybe not, but its not a big deal. It only seemed real broke in my game because it was still late 15th century, and I was the only one with QFTNW :) The others' overseas colonies were built by poaching my discoveries rather than independent exploration, I guess.

That doesn't sound like it's working correctly. Mutual just means the peace conditions apply to both sides rather than the other side using "Defender", you should need the other side to have QftNW.
