I still play around with my Bohemia campaign on 1.7.3 version, learning the game by trying various possibilities the game gives me. As HRE emperor, I just converted to protestant faith in 1535 in this scenario, expecting that as other HRE princes will follow, the emperor will gain IA as advertised in UI. But nope, that is not the case. I do not lose IA anymore but do not gain any IA when HRE state converts from Catholic to Protestant faith. Now I notice the wiki states from 1.7 on no IA gain, pitty. Even when using Emperor action "Enforce religious unity" I actually lose 1 point IA which is weird on top of -25 relation hit which makes this action useless - I think there should be +10 IA gain instead.
Anyway, my question: what is actually the One True Faith of the HRE and how is it determined? The religion of the emperor? The majority religion of empire members counted by votes? The majority of HRE base tax? Or is locked to Catholic? Can that be found anywhere in game?
