As title says. I am playing Austria, and I turned Brandenburg (poland etc. feed) and Lorraine (france feed) into marches. They take up a dipslot even though they are HRE vassals. WAD?

Hmmmm. You're right. Even after passing Erbkaisertum, Marches count against your Diplomatic Relations limit.

Hadn't noticed before since, frankly, the situations where a March is more desirable than a vassal seem few and far between. I guess one of the few situations would've been to make your semi-permanent HRE vassals into Marches. But if it's WAD, we're back to very few situations where people are actually going to designate Marches.

Yes I revoked privilegia, and because of that I thought it would be useful to turn a couple of vassals into strong fighting nations. Oh well, i have 8 relation slots anyway :p
