The multiplier for taking territory for some of the HRE provinces is far too high. As Barabant taking Holland and Zeeland, had a base AE of 11 with claims on both provinces, but in reality causes 60+ AE with the entire northern half of the HRE. The added AE with most provinces isn't too high with most HRE provinces, but some exceptionally high development provinces like Lubeck and Holland, are so high, that by themselves they cause coalitions.

The AE is reasonable, since its the equivalant of neighbouring provinces killing each other.

What rly annoys me is the relations hit you get when you diplomatically annex someone,i think thats redicolus,if its my vassal i can do with them what i please.

But you promised them that they can have their own government and army. Do you think everybody would be fine if USSR would integrate Poland and say: "Poland is our puppet state, thus we can do with them what we please"?

Back then nations were private property of the monarch.

If i have 2 houses and i rent 1 out to my cousin, who is going to complain when i decide to take full control of my house?

They're your vassal's property, not yours as you're only sworn to protect them that's the issue. French vassals weren't fine giving up land to the royal domain which is probably reason expanding the royal domain was so slow.

By that logic a feudal lords peasants werent his property, didnt stop him from flogging them every now and then.

I think we differ on what we consider diplo annexing,to me its meerly integrating the existing aristocracy into the larger national pyramid of the monarch.

So in essence the vassal ruler becomes a noble in the country still controling his tiny province but with direct guidance from the king, why would this cause anyone in the HRE to get angry when the situation has hardly changed at all from being an autonomous vassal to being a direct one.

Except that these "houses" already have people in them :p

When you become the overlord of someone's "house" you say "Hey yo, i protect cho home boy, u just pay protection money mmmmmmmmmmmmkay?"

Wanting to annex that house as yours is like saying "Mmmmkkaayy, i been protecting for too long, yo house mine naoi, mm thanks, bye"

If you want to add the HRE into the mix then that house is no longer a house but a single McDonalds restaurant. If you annex that one restaurant that you got protection money from, wouldn't the other McDonalds get a little angry?

Except in-game vassals are more like provinces with extremely high autonomy(like what used to be french vassals) with a few exceptions such as Masovia or, later in this timeframe, Ottoman vassals. Integrating them is like centralising your country. Technically, the duke is still ruling his land, just his name isn't displayed once you right-click on his province.
