I've just conquered every province of Korea, and have 100% 'peace' advantage over them. However, for some reason the annex option isn't showing. They're in a military alliance with China, would that have something to do with it?

I might be mistaken (I suck at EU2, only started playing it a couple of days ago), but you may only force-annex (Annexing by war) countries with one province.
It's for game balance reasons, especially in regards to wars between the player and AI.

Most of the time, except if you're going for a world conquest, you wouldn't really want to annex entire countries in war anyway. As you play this game more, you'll learn the value of managing your badboy score well, especially with the newest patch.

Depends on the country, I suppose. For France or Spain, for example, then it's not too ahistorical at all, with a two province Korea then maybe.
You could of course force vassalise Korea and then Diplo annex it ten years later. It takes a bit more time but it saves on the BB i think.
If he's playing nippon or manchu (only other two countries in the area) he won't want to pay for the relations he needs for diploannexation. Just get one, then the other :wacko: Any amount of bb under 15 won't hurt that much
It's better to conquer 15 provinces at 1 BB apiece, than 2 provinces for the same BB. So force-vassalization and diplo-annexation are the way to go. If you're in a defensive war, you can take some provinces (same cost) ; same if you have cores on provinces. But avoid taking non-core provinces offensively, and even more to force-annex.Rotten Venetic said:
