Ever since I learned how to use console it became second nature to me. Then I started using ironman to stop me from abusing console 24/7.
Not everyone who has at least one achievement plays Ironman regularly. As you say, some achievements you can get within five minutes of start. Some sad people (like me) will do that just to nab the easy achievements. The easiest achievement in the game is to get a Royal Marriage, and according to Steam 19,8% of EU4 players have it. Given that usually around 80% of people that have bought a game have played it, based on looking at various games' achievement statistics, I would say that one in three EU4 players do Ironman.
I do this as well! Sometimes you just want to skip the initial preparation and set up phase and start right when there's a chance for a real divergence. Not because something went wrong, but because I want to play a "different" game, so instead of taking a military idea in 1500 and slugging it out in Europe, I'll grab exploration and colonize instead. Or I'll stay catholic and keep being buddies with Austria instead of going Protestant and becoming their rival.
i have try cheating to see what was possible.
literally the only thing i wanted to do isnt. ( wanted to cheat westernize ming and see how strong it would be without the bad modifiers.)
every time i cheat, it ends up making the game very boring before its anywhere near the end of the timeline though.
