Guys I will create a mod but I need a statistic for what will/should I do.
So;
1) How you play EU4 generally? Ironman or Non-Ironman?
2) How much Ironman is important for you except achievements?
Edit: Mod will be about graphics of map. Ironman gives limitations. So now you guys can get a clear opinion.
I play a lot more non-ironman than ironman for a few reasons:
1. Playing ironman guarantees that you lose well over an hour per game to saves only (in fact if you're not on SSD, several). If you spend 30-60 hours on one game, this isn't a big deal. If you're like me and spend maybe 10, then it's a large percentage of dead time.
2. I play a lot of MP with a few other people with made-up goals in mind, precluding ironman anyway.
Other than achievements, ironman is worse than useless to me; it's an active detriment to my experience. It's not that hard to avoid reloading or using console, and it has absolutely 0 upside otherwise.
Finally, the covenant of "no takebacks" is not a standard PI itself holds to. You can get screwed by inaccurate patch notes actively providing misinformation and then can't undo it, or get into bugged situations with no mulligans. Take for example a republic in Japan in 1.7 trying to enforce Sakoku law; herp nope you need 7500 republican tradition! Now in 1.8 the decision doesn't work at all...derp.
That's not an isolated incident. You got crap like allies joining against you while the UI said they'd be on your side, or going back a few patches having CNs force you to break all your alliances with dishonored calls unless you enforced peace instantly on every single colonial war...and then you couldn't re-ally because you hated your former allies for dishonoring a call you never actually made. While the game is pulling crap like that (or introducing significant changes not listed in patch notes or changes that are listed wrongly, which is every patch since I joined), ironman becomes a nice "screw you" exercise in added fake difficulty.
I do it for achievements only, which is rare.
