Europe would certainly be a lot different when you convert any CK2 game to EUIV, but CK2 only affects Europe and surrounding regions. What about China and such? Does it remain the same?
Most would, i assume, use the same starting situation of 1444. People with the Aztec DLC will get a super-aztec/incan empire in the Americas, and there's been some hints to 'find out for ourselves' which suggests other possible changes, as well.
Well, it makes sense that Asia remains the same, after all apart from a few contacts, up until the Europeans got this crazy love for money... erm, exploration, Asia and Europe were parallel universes
I think that the condition of famous border realms was hinted to have some effect. So, if the mongols are still around or if they were quickly repelled it may be different. Timurids were specifically mentioned, I think. Definitely Aztec/Inca if SI is activated.
