How will diplomancy play into these new pop options ?

Sounds like there will be some very interesting choices that we can take to "evolve" our pops.

My assumption this will be a mid / late game mechanic and I'm curious to know how this will play out in diplomancy.

Will there be friction between races who choose synthetic verse gene altering or "enlightening"

I'm excited by the idea of Federations being fractured by these choices and new ones forged.

Diplomancy is truly the most interesting of the magic schools, followed closely by technomancy and necromancy. Though pyromancy is flashier and impresses the girls.

I'm sorry, I'm terrible. I know you meant diplomacy. Short answer, I don't know exactly, but like you I hope it will allow shake up in the mid-game. Perhaps similar to the 30 years war events in EU4.
