Hello

I read that it is possible to request an allied army to perform some specific task, like please besiege this or taht
I search the interface, I serach the forum I googled but I did not find how to do that
Could somebody tell me where the interaction is in the 1.8 Interface?

Thank you
F

When you are at war you click on a territory and there is a menu allied flags.

I wasn't to impressed with it, as they won't go there until they are done doing a siege. Also I could never get any ai to go deep inside to siege. They'll go after the edge closest to them first, maybe one territory in but that's about it.

I see that already something to try.
I guess there is no way to ask to follow my army in order to fight a edcisive battle together, ain't it?

The way to do this though it is not 100% is to make a 1k army and toggle attach to army on when you are in the same province as the army you wish to lead.

This is what I do, also make sure you set your vassals to attach (BTW this seems to reset evertime you reload) in the vassal management interface. It's still quite hit and miss, though, especially for non-vassal allies

The part about non-vassals is working as designed. Your allies are not your attack dogs.
Even though sometimes they annoyingly don't join your major battles.

I am sorry, but if I wage war and I am the war leader, my allies who joined have to listen to me. I set the strategy for a war and not they.
If I am not the war leader, I would have to do what the war leader asks of me, quite simple.

That is how a war is fought. You ask an ally to join and do a specific task. Not tell them: Join and do what ever you want to do.

The AI is always cooperating together against me, attacking me with 100k stacks, but my AI allies do what ever they want. I would love to be able to take full control of the allied armies, but get a penalty in relations if I only use their armies or loose too much of their armies and nearly none of mine.

I could see this causing France to insta-break its alliance with every player that ever allies them, seeing as the easiest tactic in most games is ally France and let them soak up all the damage.

That is why you gain penalties in relations and not only with eg France but with your other allies and possible allies as well.
If you have a bad reputation in using your allies armies only, you will never ever get an ally again.

Plus you would never have the problem of eg. Venice helping Rhodos (player) in a war against the Mamlulks and not doing anything. (Or everything wrong)

Hello I back again I made some experiment and I did not worked out very well.
I did found the command join army, but I was war leader and I try to join my 8 army stack + General with a 2 army stack of a vassals
As a result I lost the control of the army, namely I submitted my army to the control of my vassals, not what I was looking for.
Even worst when the enemy attached my army did not got the bonuses of my general because the vassal army was without the whole stack was without

Instead for setting the target to my ally I did not find anywhere the command in the UI, where is it exactly? How it looks like?
