How to toggle on message box?

Somehow I turned off the message box and don't know how to turn it back on.

You mean the message settings? You can access those ingame through:
menu -> options -> message settings
Then click on a subject and select the kind of message box etc... you want. Still not sure though you mean this.

No. I can no longer see messages at the bottom of the game screen. How do you turn that back on.

Or alternatively try the M-key... It has the same effect (at least on my version)

Problem solved. Thanks, y'all. The "m" key didn't do it, but the tiny little eye on the bottom left was what I was looking for. Sure isn't obvious, is it?

hmmm. Strange, both work for me. I am running version 1.09 with AGEECP 1.50. Not sure why 'm' does not work for you.

Not sure, either. I'm using 1.09 vanilla.
