How to split armies?

I am playing the prolouge campaign Dread Legions of the new King Arthur 2 game on a steam version.

After i got 2 new commanders i thought it would be nice to have a second army to move around, but for whatever reason i am not able to split my army up.
Now i am running around with 3 hero units in the army and still cant make a second one.

Maybe i am missing something really obvious? How do i split up my army?

I remember in the first King Arthur game you just selected the unit and gave a move order to split them, that dosent work here.

Is this a bug probably?

This is Prologue what you are playing. Got same issue, but figured that it might be so in Prologue. Besides you can play with 1 army only, no problems.

Only one army in the prologue.

You cannot split your army in the Prologue - 1 army is well enough to complete the campaign, but if you don't have three heroes you might got worse battle results. You need all of them to defeat your enemies without heavy losses. It is meant to be so.

I actually found many of the battles to be easiest with 19 units of cataphracts and my main dude just trying to keep up
