How to remove defender of the faith from the game

I have found there is nothing less fun in the game then defender of the faith; so I am wondering if it is possible to just remove it from the game? It is either a joke you could ignore or it is the blue blob making it a game of hurry up wait and colonize (because who doesn't think fighting in europe is boring and tedius and fighting natives is exciting?) so I am wondering if it is possible to remove? It is ahistorical any way; I can not think of a single instance of Henry VIII fighting a nation that wasn't catholic; he got that title for insulting Martin Luther and it didn't even keep him catholic.

I also can not think of any concept that would have been more alien to Europe after the battle of Varna.

Thank you, defender of the faith could be more reasonable for a fantasy scenario but is just annoying to me in a europe sandbox
