How to register physical game?

Hi. I have installed Europe Universalis 3 in a box sell (publisher Cenega Poland) and I can't add a key to the Steam library. All I can do is add the game to the list, but I can not activate the key. Installing the game on a PC I entered the key and was accepted, so it is correct. I wrote to Steam Support but they answered to me that they will not give me a new key because they aren't responsible for copies of other publishers.

Registration for paradox is needed for me to be able to download mods. What should I do?

Physical copies are non-Steam versions. There is no way to turn it into a Steam version I'm afraid.

As far as registering it in the forums, you should have a forum registration key in th egame if it's a new copy. Enter that in the Register a Game tab up the top here. That will get you forum access. If they have not put such a key in the box, contact Cenega.

For patches, I think they will also have to come from Cenega.
