I'm tired of every time I declared war on some tiny island nation, all my territory goes red...:( Is there a way I can avoid this from happening? Can I change my national party without pissing my people off? If there's a cheat that reduces militancy will be great! Thanks! :rolleyes:

High crime fighting reduces revoltrisk.
Low plurality during an absolute monarchy prohibits militancy growth.
High plurality during a democracy decreases militancy.
Placing troops in revolt prone places reduces militancy.
Lowering taxes (best way IMO) lowers militancy.
Social reforms lowers consciousness (so long as you pay) and militancy.

Edit: make sure the revolts you are getting aren't from war exhaustion, these are completely different from militancy induced ones. War exhaustion does create militancy, but that's another story.

I'm already putting crime fighting and social spending at maximum, and the tax for everyone is the lowest possible. I'm not currently engaged in any war, but yet some of my national provinces has revolt rate as high as %19! This is utterly absurd! :( They spawn regular infantry and dragoons like crazy, which is highly unrealistic. Is there a event XXXXX which reduces militancy that I may use?

have you taken provinces from China, switched around governing parties by decree?

In fact, I'm playing as China. I conquered most of Russia, Korea and Annam. Other than a revolution and manually switching parties back and forth two years ago, I don't remember anything significant happened.:wacko:

Maybe I should try switch the party again?:confused:

A party switch will raise militancy AND trigger an extra revolt check. Unless the party you have is completely antithetical to the high MIL POPs, you would do best by riding things out for perhaps a decade.

Wait I still have questions!
I am Russia, for 30 years we were liberal European party. Now I want to be conservative Slavophiles.
I did. Generally militancy is falling throughout the Empire.
Except for my Communists and Socialists and Anarcho-Liberals! They have 9 mil (+.17)
My general trend is falling Militancy but for Communists and Anarcholiberals and Socialists it is rising!

How do I solve this?! I am already running it so that all normal people are losing militancy but large stacks of people are these extremeist ideology!

I noticed that changing them into farmers or soliders helped to switch their ideology. though this worked not always. Sometimes we had Communist soldiers instead of Reactionary like they usually turn into after I switch them. (reactionary is good)
Though I can't switch those pesky Estonian communists and other non-national cultures!


How do I stop the communists, socialists and anarchists from a rising militancy rate! I played for 5 years after party switch and most people are calming down but not these idiots!
