I was playing as an Ottomans and noticed that many of my provinces used foreign trade centre instead of Constantinople.
How can I make them switch to trade with Constantinople instead?

I noticed that after winning a war I can demand country to actually use my trade centers (at least - that's how I think this option works), but how can I do the same for my own provinces?

oh... they are?
Hmm... ok than.

Another quick question if I may:
Does conquering a land provinces through which trade routes go gives me anything?

Say I have 2 provinces in enemy land, both identical, but one got a trade route going through it when I switch to the trade mode. Will conquering it give me any benefits comparing to the regular province?

Province are linked forever to a trade node.
However, depending on where the trade node is, you can send your merchant to transfer the trade toward your trade node.

About the war demand to your opponent, in fact, it will give your half their trade power in the trade node where you are both present.
So as Portugal, if you enforce this deal with Spain/Castille, you would get 50% of their trade power in Sevilla, which is quite huge.

The trade route displayed on the map is mostly for decoration.
It is not really as a trade route where you are missing the exploration of a province won't be active.

Awesome... how can you not love Paradox for stuff like that - thousands of things that game interface never bothers to explain you, even if they have a large impact on the gameplay.

Anyway - thanks a lot for help :) Will try to remember that :)

No, but provinces with river estuaries and important centers of trade will give you bonuses to trade power in a node. Important centers of trade are for example Danzig, Lübeck, Hamburg and Constantinople. There can be more than one of those per node. River estuaries are for example the Vistula or Po estuary. Often times both overlap. The Danzig province for example has a huge trade power bonus since it has both an important center of trade (Danzig) and an estuary (Vistula) modifier. The same goes for the Venice province (Venice trade center and Po river estuary). Then there are also toll provinces giving big trade power bona for example for the Sound toll (Sjelland province) or the Bosporus toll (Thrace province).

I believe somewhere in the description is says you get 50% of trade power in any trade node where you both share a province. If not, it might be in the manual. You did read the manual... right?
