if you're really concerned give it a go with a friend on multiplayer and if the issues arises then well a patch is deserved but honestly the devs already thought of this....and so you do not have to worry :) but like i said if u need more peace of mind go test it out yourself

all i am doing here is showing the non-expert players how to do certain cheats that do not come with an easy console command like "metal"....wen i first played this game i was frustrated i couldn't do certain things as i like to play odd countries or odd scenarios...eventually i taught myself commands like this and how to properly use them to work....so i am just sharing that info so others do not have to go thru the same frustration as i did :)

If you realy want to help them you could give them a link to the page of the HoI3 Wiki, from where you took half of the code and point them to the list of variables and modifiers in the faq section instead of giving them simply stolen bits of code without a single word of what they should do with them. I'm convinced that you're trying to learn how this stuff works, but right now it seems like you're just kind of showing off and that's not really helping.

A better way to help show people how to cheat would be to show them how to properly edit their save game. Changing game files will forever modify their checksum unless you also teach them to back up the files. The amount of work spent looking up the variables and making the command is more time than going into a save game and editing the section under "player=yes." Editing the save game is the "proper" way to cheat.

My only point to being in this thread was to make sure it wasn't usable in multiplayer, and then he tried to claim he wasn't cheating so I put him in his place. Thats all. I don't really cheat when I edit savegames lately, I'm usually fixing something stupid like puppets not joining wars their masters are in.
