How to play old versions of EU4?

I just decided to pick up EU4 after a bit of a hiatus. I started an Ironman game on my favorite patch of EU4 which is 1.15, then a few days later that option is gone from the steam beta. How do I play 1.15 now? My only options on Steam seem to be 1.4 or going to 1.16+ and that is unacceptable to me since i hate the states/territorial system.

Surly there must be a way for me to play the game I want to, it was just there a few of days ago.

i don't recall them saying they'd taken down any versions recently.

steam only allows a fixed number of beta slots, so when a new version is released they have to remove the one with the least number of users.

I understand, but It looks to me like they remove the oldest patch, not the one with the fewest users. If they kept the most popular ones we should see a spread of popular patches from different eras, but instead we see a complete list of every major patch since 1.6.

I guess it could be true but I seriously doubt that. You would expect some older patches to be more popular than some moderately new ones thus breaking the pattern that we see now.

So now they deleted the patches without even telling us beforehand? Because I dont remember a thread over here telling us they would do it. Before deleting 1.11.4 they warned some weeks in advance.

I hope the dont delete 1.17. Theyve already made the terrible mistake of deleting 1.11, the last patch before development and ZoC forts. I hope they dont delete 1.17, the last patch before institutions, the last patch you can play with westernization and Protectorates. I advise you people to get a copy of this patch, so that you can try it out as a very different game.
