How to play as Judea early?

Is there a way you can mod the game to play as judea early I don't really like how late the date is until you can play Judea

Go to your history\provinces folder and open "221 - Judea.txt". Change the following lines:

owner = EGY
controller = EGY
add_core = EGY

To this:

owner = JUD
controller = JUD
add_core = JUD

And you'll be able to play Judea from the start

Alternatively, with the beta patch you can now mod the end date so that you can play for much longer, by editing the end_date line in common\defines.txt.

I have not played this game much, I just bought this. But in Eu3 I used to fund a nationalists in another country, switch to that country, let them repel and switch to the country I wanted to play when she becomes independent. Maybe it works there as well.

Most of them will, certainly all the major ones as they have been updated.

If it worked with 2.32 it will very likely work with the beta patch (know no case where it worked with 2.32 and doesn't work with the beta patch).
