How to make battleorders ignore enemy divisions and just go forwards?

When i make a battleorder go straight forwards my divisions when penetrating the frontline just attack the enemy divisions at the breach instead of marching into the DIRECTION OF THE ARROW!!!
what do? micromanage?

If you set them to the highest of 3 attacks speeds they will move into unmanned provinces, but on the regular speed of battle orders they will prioritize attacking units. On the third level they will still attack units, but will consistently push across all tiles and go for the target. You can also see the path the attack ai will take by hovering over the arrow, as it shows the movement set out across the enemy land in progression tile by tile.

I pretty much always use aggressive on all armies, yet it still attacks troops.

Maybe use spearhead order.

And yes, if you want your division to take (theoretical) high risk of encirclement (e.g. moving forward when division right and left have not yet progressed) you will have to give them that command manually.

Good thing i don't play majors with that issue. Just minors vs minors, split em apart in the middle, or in multiple places, create many lines, link up the lines and clean up the pockets, or just conquer their victory points entirely.
