I took all of the Americas as Hansa on Very Hard mode while having ~7 European provinces.

First step was to rush QFtNW and annex the North American Natives. for the next 50 years, fort them up and keep a good army there for rebel smashing.

Then I had my cores there and colonised the East Coast, starting from the areas closest to Castille, Portugal and England, so basically Canada and NE South America. Not forgetting those blasted islands.

Mint as much as you need. I was colonising as fast as I could get colonists. I put most of my slider movements to narrowminded for faster colonial growth and got the NI for +1 colonists (more important at this stage than +33% colonial growth. I needed to get the colonies first or else there'd be problems.

After the Eastern coast was safe it was just a case of doing the West (where there was no competition) and then filling in the central provinces. By the time I had it all, I was the richest nation in the game, rediculous trade income and ~28 inflation. Honestly, inflation is nothing to be scared of if it means you can get a real advantage over everyone else.

Oh yeah, I moved my capital to "New Lubeck" in America (for which I had to leave the HRE ;_;) to avoid tariffs. Seriously, **** tariff income.
