How to launch an event?

Hi. I'm in the 1230s already with no mongols to be seen. I've thought about launching their arrival event (5503) via the F12 console, but typing "5503", "id 5503" and "event 5503" don't work. What's the command? Thanks!

For character events, select the portrait page of the person it should fire on and type 'charevent 1234'.
For province events, select the province on the map it should fire in and type 'provevent 1234'.
Specifying the wrong type will do nothing.

province_x_province events will crash the game if launched by the console as a province event.
