Is their a way to stay non-aligned as China when the two focuses in the tree, that lead to removal of a malus are -0.2% Non aligned as well as a 0.2% democracy gain? Is their a way to avoid becoming a democratic and staying non aligned? Heck, even going facist isn't a big deal but theres no demagogue for that.

You should be able to suspend the democracy growth through a decision, and in any case press censorship will keep democratic support down

So thats a 150 political power I'd have to spend consistly just to keep myself afloat?

And would banning democracy work? How would that work when my nonaligned support is going down?

I'm of the opinion that some countries could stand to have non-aligned advisors who boost your non-aligned ideology. The Chinese nations are in need of these types of advisors, as are Romania, Yugoslavia, and Bulgaria, all of which have to contend with severe fascist-boosting maluses courtesy of Germany and Italy.

Pretty much. If you don't want democratic alignment you either don't take the focus or take the -5% stability hit and suspend the interparty coordination council

If you don't mind an initial -10% stability hit, you can go anti-democratic raids. After the focus completes, you will have earned back any lost stability, with a furhter +2% on top. Costs less PP than press censorship. Not ideal in the middle of a war, true... but worth it if you've got some peacetime to play with.
