Hello I am wondering if in addition to selecting the hardest difficulty there is anything i can do to increase the number, size, and production rate of ai armies

Check "More stronger AI", "AI adjustments (less dwelling spam)" mods in Steam. "Extreme world threat" is nice too. Just don't enable them all, they are not compatible.
