I want to create some large client state (300 development).
The thing is they get .25 liberty desire for each development point. So a base of 75.
Add to that that I'd like to use the 'divert 100% trade ' option (+30 liberty desire) it would be hard to keep a client state like this under control.

Now trust above 50 reduces liberty desire.
But how can I increase the trust of the client state I created?

Is there a way also to get the -50 liberty desire caused by 'historical friends'?

The client state I'd create would have the same culture and religion.

With GP Interaction and Opinion auf +200 its rather easy to get large Client States under controll. Also you can RM them for another 5% less LD.

The GP action 'influence nation' gives 5 trust every time (every 10 years).

AFAIK there is no way to get historical friends except via events or at start.
So 'influence nation' action can be performed on your own client-states too?

Wiki says this:
Influence Nation – Pay 1 year of target income to increase relations and grant +1 monarch points in their weakest category for 10 years in a target independent non-GP nation. This raises their opinion of the Great Power by +25 for the 10 years, also gives +5 trust. Going to war with them cancels this bonus.

I always use it on my vassals don't see why it wouldn't work on client states.
