Hi!

I have a problem with peace deals in 1.3. I, England, am allied with Lithuania and Poland, who every decade or so declare war on some small neighbour. I just join the war and wait for my allies to win, which they usually do just fine. However, during peace negotiations, all land is given to *me* instead of the countries who actually control it. What can I do to stop this? I don't want those dirt poor muslim or othodox provinces in the middle of Asia which I cannot even reach, I would very much like my allies to get stronger instead.

Are you controller of the seded provinces?

Can you release the lands as vassals and develop a string of central asian allies? Would definitely create a non-typical game as England.

Try using sell province to give it to them at cost 0. If the land borders on their territory, they will likely accept.

So it is actually impossible to get the AI allies the provinces they have conquered if you are the alliance leader? I have tried selling the provinces to Poland, but the Poles won't accept.

That is very strange. I've fought in many wars as the alliance leader, and am always able to request land for my allies. One solution you might try would be to simply not do anything. Eventually, your allies will make peace on their own, and then you can just sue for a white peace or whatever. NB, this is also a good way to get more for your war score, so long as you don't mind splitting the spoils.

I always thought provinces got ceded to the occupier, unless another ally in the peace negotiations has a core on it... but I guess your experience has been that the alliance leader wins the sweepstakes.

To sell provinces to the AI, your chances are better if

- the buyer actually has money (try selling on Jan 1st before they blow their budget)
- the for-sale province is the same culture as the buyer (or at least a culture tolerated by the buyer)
- the for-sale province is the same religion as the buyer
