Hi. Just got the game and I'm already addicted. Playing my second campaign now as an Irish count (cliche I know) and I'm having trouble giving holdings to vassals to stay in my demesne limit. Whenever I try granting a holding, I'm actually giving it outright, so they become their own realm. Help please?
How to give holdings to a vassal

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
You only get them as vassals if you are a greater rank. Counts can't have count vassals so you need to form a duchy before giving out county titles.
first, you will need to be at least duke level to grant a count so that target vassal will remain in your realm as your title is superior
