US troops still in my land even though they have no military access. They have been there since the State of Japan (democratic) which was then replaced by Imperial Japan. After that, I invaded and conquered their lands.

Unfortunately "AI units stuck on another continent after peace" has been a bug for as long as the game is out.

Can't you do it without unpausing? Just shift-right click to get them to move, then tag back.

I finally managed to move them out. I tag to USA, execute a retreat order, then unpause by the lowest speed possible. Another second later, I quickly paused and tagged back. This will not give time for the German AI to mess up my divisions.

@EliteWehrmacht what is with you and playing until late 1950´s? haha

Trying to conquer every bit of the world.

Edit: Why there seems to be an assumption that playing so late is a bad idea? Conquering the world should be a step-by-step process. Especially when it comes to diplomacy, you have to play a chess. Of course,I can be like Taureor (A Youtuber), just find ways to invade USSR as early as 1937, but I don't like this kind of early war strategies. I prefer to build up my resources slowly, and expand my empire according to logic.

Dustin also made another war conquest guide before 1939.

My longest campaign has been Japan. I conquered the world by late 1980s. It took me a huge nuclear campaign to defeat the Axis. My shortest campaign is UK. I completed my quest by 1945. The goal was not world domination though, but decolonisation (defeat USSR and Germany). Playing as democratic nations tend to be faster for me, since I am not aiming for world domination.

So, it really depends on your style. I like to play it slow and strategically. I can blitz like other players do, but it is not me.

Another note: I tend to play on elite or veteran mode so the build up is even slower!

This is my previous campaign as democratic France. Goal is to defeat Germany and USSR alongside the Allies.

This is my current German campaign. USA and USSR remain. I am still allied to USSR through Moscow-Berlin Axis. Of course, I could have attacked USA asap since Canada is still out there, meaning I can conquer her and use it as a base. But I PREFER not to since I want to grab the easier territories around Eurasia. Don't like to attack a strong continental power without a lot of resources. I am playing diplomacy like a chess, attacking one country at a time. I am also pretty confident of winning the game as late as in 1980s, since I have done that before as Japan.

Next time though, I would like to change my challenge: attack Soviet Union in Operation Barbarrosa style (1941). It gets boring at times. So maybe, I can end the game earlier. Now I just want to create a huge German empire. There are still a lot of me to learn, like coming up with right unit composition!
