How to get my Steam Access

Ok, so I pre-ordered the game and got flagged on the other forum as having done so, but have never seen anything about how we actually get our game. I now see the game for sale on Steam. How do we get that turned on after having purchased it?

Yes, I do have the original confirmation email and code. It said I would be asked where I wanted it (Steam clearly), but no, nothing has ever asked me.

Yup, looks like it was asked and I did say Steam (my bad, forgot about the backerkit survey).

There doesn't appear to be a copy of the game in my account though (neither on Paradox nor Steam). Is there something else I need to do to make this happen? It seems odd to me that it appears to be listed in both places as purchasable but neither as purchased despite having paid for it.

And yes, I have linked my Steam account to allow activations but there doesn't seem to be anything to activate.

I suggest contacting support if you can't get the solution solved on the forums.
Show them proof of purchase and you should be good to go.
If you are referring to the actual game not the icons, the game is not released yet.

You need to input the PDX Forum - Valhallah ( or what ever your level was) Code into the register a game at the top of this page. When you have enter the code and get the green confirmation message, go to your profile and then Owned items, hit the sync button and wait, then wait some more .... takes a while to update. I'm assuming you have things on your backer kit page?

No one has a game code, if you can get on the backer site then that is your proof, all game codes will be sent out on or just before release

As a Backer through HBS, Steam won't reflect it as "purchased" until you enter a key, and you won't get the key until much closer to launch. (When we upload the keys to BackerKit.)

I'm not as well versed in how the Paradox accounts talk to Steam, though, so they may have some magic I'm not familiar with. BUT that's how I think it will work.

Ok, I was wondering why it wasn't showing up as pre-ordered in steam and there is no code for the game in my backerkit.

That's because Steam will only show pre-ordered status if you pre-order through steam, if my memory servers me, from today directly through steam. All other purchases through either HBS direct or the kickstarter will only show after the key is released via the backer kit. Hope this helps, hehe and I hope I'm right, but seems to make sense

Entered my Valhalla code and it was accepted but no amount of syncing/waiting changes anything in my Owned Items. I take it that a nice little btech icon should appear at some point?

Try logging out from the forums and then log back in.

The way Paradox works is that you link your Steam account to Paradox

Once you do so, AND if your profiles is PUBLIC, Paradox basically just does a simple API call for "what games do you own"

It then filters out all the Paradox games and adds them to your "Owned Games" list so you get the tiny icons

Takes ages to sync, I was mashing that button, then I went off to do a bit of Shadowrun, and when I came back it was done
