How To Get Female Councillors?

Quick questions. I was wondering whether it was succession, religion or some other laws which permit female councillors? As it is I have several secondary wives and female courtiers with good stats but they are currently only allowable for Spymaster. I know female commanders and knights requires a religious element.
Playing Ireland, Insular Christianity, 1066 start.

Your religion needs to have Female Dominated Doctrine. Doing so makes men ineligible for the positions.

Or equal doctrine as then male and female can be used

I don't see it mentioned on the Wiki. That's why I didn't add it. Thank you for the information that Equal does allow female council members.

Yeah, in-game the equal doctrine does say they can be Commanders and Knights but doesnt mention councillors but i double-checked

Your religious advisor is the only one this doesn't apply to, the priest gender doctrine determines that one.
