How to get Designer's cut

I have no idea why Nitro/Paradox are being so quiet about Director's cut/Privateer, maybe they had a falling out or the entire staff have went on holiday, but if you want DC just go to Impulse and "buy" it. It's free. You don't need the Impulse version of EIC to do this, I just installed it over the one I got from D2D.

I tried that, but I keep getting a message saying I need to update Impulse first, and when I do that it just times out.

I also DL'ed it from Impulse, but when I installed it to the game I bought through GG the version number displayed on the "Options" window still reads 1.06. Did I do something wrong?

Do you have IE7? I had the same problem untill I tried to update via the "My Impulse" page, then it told me IE7 was require. So I installed that, updated Impulse and everything worked.

I guess. Mine updated to 1.1 plus there's a (kinda annoying) new "Designer's cut" splashscreen (I see I said Director's in the title now...). When I did it it said I didn't have EIC installed, but there was an option to locate it, and once I pointed it at my EIC folder everything installed.
