At what date? I find massive slowdown happens around the time ww2 starts up and rarely gets better.
Its one of the annoying downsides of this game…late game slowdown is painful. I dont have an amazing computer but its not like terrible either by any stretch.

It was any game, and its the same now, it goes by one in-game hour in like, 1 second at max speed

Is it still slow if you revert to an older patch? If so, then it must be a problem with your PC.
So the source of the slowness could be external, something overloading the PC, be careful with google chrome.
