How to find out when events trigger?

Hi! My first post in the HOI-forum section.

Was wondering if there is any way to see how often events trigger (not what is needed to trigger them). Taking a look among the eventfiles shows an "offset" line saying for example that it will be checking for trigger factors every 7 day, but on every 7th day, how likely is the event to happend that day?

And another question which leads in to why I was starting to wonder about this. On random events I cannot find this "offset" line which leaves me with no clue on have to know how often these can trigger. Anyone to tell what to look after?
In my case I was wondering how often that petroleum-event that boosts your industry-research quite much trigger and if there are any special factors to take in to calculations (Of some reason i cant find among the random events, anyone know where to find it?)

So if anyone could give a short (or long, dont mind me ) describition on how this works I would be grateful.

Look in the trigger = { section. If there's a random = xx in there, than that number is the % chance of it triggering on each offset, or eah time you reload the game. Lack of a random = means that once the triggers are satisfied, it has a 100% chance of triggering on the next offset or when you reload.

Random events are entirely random in firing. You can go whole games without seeing a random event, but you usually see one or two a game. For instance, in the pre-war years GER will often get the Rogue Minister event that either kills your Admin Genius minister or gives you +1 dissent.

These techs seem to be more common if you don't have many industry techs, but I once got them as Italy. Don't bank on them; doing your own research is more reliable than waiting for events that will probably never turn up.
