Sometimes I'll just lose all the regments

Be very careful and keep an eye on your attrition and how much % health the ships have. Attrition starts to get really painful with too much time at sea. It helps to have colonial bases here and there for docking.

You're losing the ships because of attrition from operating outside your naval range. Keep an eye on them and send them back to a friendly port for repairs when their health gets below 60% If you leave them out at sea, they'll die once attrition drops their health down to zero.

Boy, I knew people were fanatic about the game, but taking a small break to go to the john should be a viable option still!
Every time you have to get up to go to the bathroom, that means less time you have to subjugate those weaker states. That's why I keep a bucket under my seat at all times.

Less bathroom time = more prestige.

:p

Stupid typos.

Also you could try and get fleet basing rights from the nations on the way to India if good colonies is hard to come by thus having an alternative type of port to repair.
