i am playing as america. how to edit the game and erase dixie in the national population. there are two national population in my country dixie and yankee. i just want to know on how to delete it.

You mean to turn all your Dixie POPs into Yankee POPs?

It would probably be most easily done with creating an event that converts 100% of your Dixie population to Yankee.

You can also disable Dixie as an accepted national culture after the ACW - Radical Reconstruction will do this and make Yankee your only national culture.

I'm not sure why you'd want to do this, though.

If you want to alter your savegame then search for: "type = "dixie"". Providing the other culture listed nearby is "yankee", then this would be the USA's line here. Delete the bit which you searched for.

Alternatively, alter the includable file for the USA, which is found in the scenarios folder. This would mean that any new game wouldn't have the dixie as a national culture, though it wouldn't effect any current game.

you have to go down a while till you get into the countries. if you notice in the relations part you will see that CHI is down on the list. the Tag = CHI will appear by itself and then if you scroll down you will see info about your country for AI info.

Don't edit saves, it's too much hassle and you have to edit them all again if you do some other modding.

Edit the China's file in the appropriate scenario folder.

edit. Unless it's on a current game you have already started and don't want to start again. Then editing save is only choice apart from events. I don't have Vic saves, but I'd guess when editing save find the China country information with all the literacy, ruling party, growth and similar information and then from there search again for "culture" or "national" or "manchu" to locate the right spot.
But I'm kinda repeating here what has been already said.
