How to disable auto 'receive email notifications' on leaving a reply

Whenever I leave a reply on a thread, the forum system automatically turns on the email notification. Since I don't want to fill the email with forum notifications, I have to go to the watched thread tab and disable it whenever I leave a reply.

I can disable it when I write a post, but there is no such option in the reply section. Is there any way to disable the notification as a default?
