How to delay an allied invasion?

Hey there.

Just wondering if its possible to delay an allied invasion in Europe?

Had a 1933 game as Germany, and i did not use my navy at all (drove Sweden to Norway) But the Americans landed in Amsterdam at sep 1942.

Then I had a 1933 game, and I used my subs for convoy raiding, and my Kriegsmarine to pick some few smaller fleets from the UK, Can, and USA. This time I am in 1948 and the allieds have event tried to land jet.

So my conclusion is that if you are alittle active with the navy, the allies will not launch an invasion unless the have dominated the sea for a while.

Anybody who can confirm this?

Can't confirm.
My pimped U-boat-fleet has been investing the Atlantice for quite some time (together iwth Naval bombers sinking each and every convoy stupid enough to show its face) and the US still launched Invasion into both Britain (with the England AI tragically and incompetently unable to stop it even though they outnumbered them 3 to 1) and North Africa.
