Has anyone else noticed nomads cheating?

They are essentially acting as extra troops for my enemies--

I literally Sent my tools out of the way in a third country and they followed me to kill me.

Another time they came into the path to block my troops from combining so I lost the war.

It's bad enough being unable to get troop count back up because they are constantly raiding, but then to have them acting on the behalf of people they have no alliance with is absolutely absurd.

they're opposing you in a war? so it must be either an alliance or a defensive pact.

there isn't One AI. there are Characters, up to 40,000 alive at a time. it might feel like they're acting 'on behalf of' someone else, but they're really not. can you post a screenshot?

No, it's very difficult to screenshot this type of behavior.

Why would a nomad move to attack me as I'm seiging and already raided province? They can get nothing from it- only screw me over.

Why would a nomad who I have a non aggression pact move to interdict and destroy my forces?

While a Non-Aggression Pact does stop raiding, do you actually have a non-aggression pact with them? You might want to check.

1. A NAP with a Khagan does not apply to his vassal khans, nor to any of his clansmen (including kids) who've formed independent landless hosts to go raid
2. Make sure someone didn't die- NAPs don't automatically apply to successors even if there's still marriage ties, you have to renew it when there's a succession

No, it was a valid pact between me and them- I had to marry sons or daughters off to the Khagan and 3 clan heads to try to stop raiding, then their stack swooped into the one province belonging to my Leige (which was already raided) and blocked my armies once their path was locked in. . .

It's infuriating; especially when you have a weak leige who refuses to do anything to stop raiding but who you can't break free from.

Ohhh, you have a liege who doesn't have a deal with them. Yeah, pacts are basically useless then, because hostility is by realm if you're not in the same one. They just see your liege's lands/troops, not yours.

It's the Western Protectorate, so he has almost no troops, but if I declare war against him doom stacks from China summon in and end me.

I've gotten tot he place where he has one province and I have the other 5 that start in the WP, but I still have no chance against China, or against the remaining enemies in the region because they are huge.

Oof, that sounds like an escape hatch kind of game, where you try to get a dynast landed somewhere outside your realm and then get your current self unlanded so you can go be over there instead of being trapped, in my opinion... and hm. Now I realize I'm not sure how Peace Deal with China would affect trying to go independent on the WP... (setting aside "wait for Civil War or Famine or whatever so he can't get help", that could take centuries)

Right, and I have to get across to Mahgreb because the whole point of the game is the Aladdin achievement; I've tried from nearly every possible start and I cannot figure out how anyone can do it outside of sheer luck.

You cannot play the western protectorat so I think it is a bug since one of the last patches that you can play somebody under the western protectorat. Before it was impossible like playing a count under the pope.

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about here. You can play a vassal to the Pope.

Just checked and I am quite confused, as it still says "you cannot play theocracy" in tooltip but "play" isn't greyed out anymore. I am very sure few patches ago you could neither play counts under the pope nor counts under confucian burocracy. But at the moment it seems indeed possible.

You can also swear fealty to the Pope in-game, which can lead to funny situations like a pagan vassal of the Pope. :)
