How to deal with Bulgaria's Fatherland Front if you don't own Battle for the Bosporus?

Currently in a game with Bulgaria where I have flipped fascist and am a prominent member of the Axis when in 1941 I got a Fatherland Front event and hence national spirit giving me +0.2 daily communism support and -0.3% weekly stability. As I currently don't own the Battle for the Bosporus DLC I don't see how I can combat this. Am I missing something or is this not working as intended?

Yes, you are missing the Bosphorus DLC (and Paradox is missing your 9,99€ , this being a friendly reminder to get one).

They've probably just forgot to restrict this to owners of the last DLC. There are more small issues similar to this in the game.

On a similar note, I noticed that the 'Mineral prospect in the Rhodoppe' does nothing if you don't own Waking the Tiger.

If I'm not mistaken, if you go fascist yourself you can limit the communists' support to a low enough level that they won't take power. Without the DLC I don't even think Bulgaria ever flips communist, though they will undermine your war support and cause you to surrender easily.

Played another run through where I avoided joining the war against the Soviets (instead of annexing or puppeting Bessarabia on defeating Romania I released them as an independent nation to avoid the later Soviet claims)> This allowed me to carry on happily to 1945 without any Fatherland issues, picking up the Prussia of the Balkans achievement along the way.
