How to create your own kingdom??

hello all,
I used this youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE7A-EIZakA to create a new kingdom.
my questions are,
1. is this the right way to do it, or should i use another method if so where can i find it?
2. i want to create a flag as well, i dont know how?
