Hello everyone! I have played EU4 for a while without playing the recommended nations to start as for beginners.
For the latest version, did someone managed to play an interesting gameplay as Brittany?

Brittany doesnt have much flavor nor much of interest besides its position for colonization and decent naval capability. It's fairly common in MP due to its second or third-rate nature not threatening its neighboring powers, but I don't think its a good choice in SP. Based on your regional choice I would recommend playing a different nation.

If you want to play colonial and abandon continental politics, play England/Portugal. If you want to dominate continental europe, play France. If you want to have a fun single-player game from an initial weak position, play Provence (can go for france, stay as provence, or form jerusalem).

Conquer England and reclaim your homeland from the germanic invaders. Or suck up to France, play the colonization game and be a way worse version of Portugal. Brittany sadly doesn't have much flavor and other tags (e.g., Orleans, Nevers for the achievement) make for a more interesting "Replace France" game.

This is actually a pretty good suggestion from an RP standpoint. If there's any reason to play Brittany in SP a celtic-revival campaign is a good one.
